Kaulalau Lookout

The best views in all of Hawaii can be found at Kalalau Lookout. From the top, you can view the heart of the Kalalau Valley, which you may recognize as it has been a backdrop for famous films like “King Kong” and “Jurassic Park.” The best time to view the valley is before 11 AM, as the clouds are moving in and out and become thick in the afternoon and evening. And if you’re up for a real adventure, hike the 11 miles of Kalalau Trail to visit the valley and beach below!

Hanalei Bay

Hanalei Bay is the largest bay located on the north shore of the island. The bay offers nearly two miles of sandy beaches that are surrounded by gorgeous mountains. The bay is perfect for sailing, paddle boarding, and swimming. And of course, it’s a great place to just relax and sunbathe on the shores or have a picnic with your family. In the winter, the surf on the bay becomes large enough to become an amazing surfing destination!

Wailua Falls

Wailua Falls is a double-tiered waterfall that is truly a sight to behold. The falls are approximately 85 feet high and drop into a pool that is over 30 feet deep. While it may not look very high, visitors are urged not to dive off the side of the waterfall, it can be fatal! These waterfalls are easy to access without any sort of lengthy hike. The parking lot is located reside beside the falls to make it easy for anyone to come and experience it. Pack a lunch, bring your camera, and take in the stunning view!
