There are several bar crawls, block parties, and live music happening around the city which are all great ways to meet and get to know new people while having fun with your friends!
For those who are feeling ambitious and love to run, Nashville also hosts a St. Paddy’s Day 5k and Half Marathon on March 12. Dress in your favorite green gear and see views of this fantastic city you might not ever experience again!
New York City
New York City has been hosting the world’s largest and oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade since 1762 and it doesn’t disappoint! There are approximately 150,000 people marching in the parade and the celebration brings in around 2 million parade watchers each year! Expect to enjoy the parade from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM from Fifth Avenue beginning at East 44th Street and ending at East 79th Street.
In addition to the parade, you can find a variety of Irish pubs around New York City to really get in the spirit of the day. After you have a meal and a drink, learn about Irish history by visiting the breathtaking St. Patrick’s Cathedral, located in the center of Midtown and opposite the Rockefeller Center as well as the Tenement Museum on the Lower East Side.
Orlando never misses an opportunity to celebrate a holiday and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception.
