Casinos, nightlife, live entertainment, unique experiences, and the Mojave Desert make Las Vegas a distinct and beloved vacation destination for many travelers. With so much to do and see, it’s no surprise that it’s on many vacationers’ bucket lists and is a city that many will return to time and time again. No matter if you’ve stayed in the past or want to visit for the first time, deciding what to do during your Las Vegas vacation can be overwhelming!

Not sure where to start? Don’t worry, Carefree Destinations has you covered with our travel guide to Las Vegas:

When to Visit Las Vegas

With mild off-season temperatures and plenty of sunshine, Las Vegas is a preferred year-round destination for many. This all being said, you might find there are certain seasons/months that best fit your travel needs:

  • March-May— Spring is considered by many as the best time of year to visit with temperatures averaging in the 70s and 80s. Aside from the spring break weeks, Vegas typically sees fewer visitors, so between the weather and smaller crowds, this time of year simply can’t be beat!
  • June-August— If you want guaranteed hot weather, the summer season in Vegas is for you. Fortunately, there are plenty of places to sneak away to air conditioning when you want to spend a little time away from the pool and the desert heat!
  • September-November— As the weather begins to cool (slightly) and the summer tourists leave, fall is a preferred time of year to visit Las Vegas. Visitor traffic often picks back up during the holidays so be sure to plan your late fall travel in advance!
  • December-February— Winter offers cooler weather with temperatures averaging in the mid 50s. Though the outdoor pools might be closed, there are great holiday celebrations to be had and as the holidays come to a close, you’ll find there are often fewer crowds.
